TripSanity

Terms of Service

Effective October 2, 2026 · TripSanity, LLC, Atlanta, Georgia, USA · ericdelucajohnson@gmail.com

TripSanity turns a planned itinerary into one shared trip page. Organizers sign in and build trips; guests open a link. By creating a trip or opening a trip link, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain language on purpose — that doesn't make them less binding.

1. Accounts and guests

Organizers sign in with an emailed one-time code; keep control of your email inbox, since it is your key to your trips. Guests don't create accounts — a guest's use of a trip link is covered by these terms and by the Privacy Policy.

2. Your content

Itineraries, notes, addresses, photos of plans you paste — your content stays yours. You give us the limited license we need to store it and show it to the people you invite, and nothing more. You're responsible for what you put in a trip and for only inviting people you actually want to see it.

3. Trip passwords — what they are and aren't

Trip passwords keep your plan private among invitees. They are a courtesy lock, not bank-grade security: anyone holding the link and the password can view the trip. Don't put anything in a trip that would be a problem if a family member forwarded it.

4. Location sharing

The family finder is opt-in per person and updates only while the trip page is open — details in the Privacy Policy. If you organize a trip, don't pressure anyone to share their pin, and make sure a parent or guardian makes the call for kids' devices.

5. AI features

AI import and the packing generator produce a draft for you to review, and Ask and its heads-up cards give suggestions, not facts. AI output can be wrong — times, addresses, opening hours and suggestions included. Confirm anything that matters (reservations, flights, medication, weather-critical gear) against the original source. You're the editor; the AI is the intern.

Flight status and flight alerts come from a third-party data provider and can be late, incomplete or wrong, and an alert can fail to arrive. They're a convenience, not a substitute for your airline — check its app or the airport boards before you act on a gate, a time or a cancellation.

6. Trips are information, not guarantees

TripSanity displays the plan your organizer built plus data from third parties (weather forecasts, maps, travel-time estimates). We're not a travel agency and don't guarantee any of it. Verify critical details with the venue, airline, or booking directly.

7. Acceptable use

We can suspend or remove trips or accounts that violate these rules.

8. Paid features

The core product is free. Paid upgrades, when offered, are one-time purchases per trip, processed by Stripe; prices are shown before you buy, and applicable taxes may be added. If a paid feature doesn't work as described, email us — we'll fix it or refund it.

9. The service is provided as-is

We work hard to keep TripSanity fast and available — especially on trip days — but it's provided "as is," without warranties, and we can't promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or $19 if you paid nothing).

10. Ending things

You can stop using TripSanity any time; organizers can delete their trips and request account deletion. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content ownership, liability limits) survive.

11. Changes, law, contact

If we change these terms materially, we'll update the effective date here. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA. Questions: ericdelucajohnson@gmail.com.
